Cinnamon Apple Oats

Ingredients

  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 3 tbsp agave syrup
  • ¼  tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • medium baking apple (peeled , cored and diced)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼  tsp grated nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F
  2. Lightly coat  a 1  quart baking dish with olive oil
  3. Combine the milk ,  agave syrup , cinnamon , and salt in a 2 quart saucepan
  4. Cook over high heat for 4 minutes to scald the milk
  5. Add the apple and Oats
  6. Continue cooking on high for 1 minute
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla
  8. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish
  9. Bake for 15 minutes
  10. Remove from the oven , stir the mixture thoroughly
  11. Sprinkle the top with nutmeg. Return to the oven and bake or 15 minutes
  12. Serve warm
